Welcome to the portal of Blackpool sexual health services
For all the information you need to access sexual health services in Blackpool – from where to get tested for Chlamydia to the nearest pharmacy to offer emergency contraception.
Sexual health services including GPs & voluntary services provide different types and levels of care plus there are also sexual health clinics that provide more specialist care. In order to help you choose the most appropriate service please see below…
- GUM (previously located at Blackpool Victoria Hospital)
- Contraceptive Services (previously located at Adelphi House in Blackpool Town Centre)
- Community BBV Nursing Team (previously based at 18a Queen Street)
These three services have come together and moved into a new purpose built clinic in the new primary care centre on Whitegate Drive known as Whitegate Health Centre.
All three of these services can be found in the Sexual Health Clinic on the ground floor of Whitegate Health Centre.
The combination of all three services into one centre means that we can provide an improved quality of care to all our patients under one roof.
We aim to provide confidential support and advice to all our clients in relation to their sexual health needs.
Sexual Health Services provides free confidential advice to all patients who attend our services.
You do not need to be referred to our services – just ring to make an appointment or simply turn up at one of our walk-in clinics (please see clinic times).
All our services are free to everyone who attends.
To make an appointment for any of our clinics/services or for advice then please contact us on (01253) 657171 (available 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am – 1.30pm on a Saturday).
