Services we provide at Whitegate Health Centre Sexual Health Clinic.

GUM Team

• Screening and treatment for all Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
• Same day HIV testing
• Walk-in clinics and appointment clinics
• 48 hour access to STI screening
• Partner Notification and management
• Testing for nepatitis B&C
• Vaccinations for Hepatitis A&B where appropriate
• Evening clinics
• Ongoing care and management of clients with HIV
• Provision of free condoms and lubricant to all clients
• Telephone advice for GPs and other primary care groups and hospital staff for STIs

Contraception Team

• A wide range of contraceptive methods are offered including contraceptive pills, contraceptive injection (Depo-Provera), IUD and IUS (coil) insertion  (appointment needed for IUD/IUS)
• We have four designated contraceptive implant (Implanon) clinics – for insertion and removal of implants
• Emergency contraception
• Provision of free condoms and lubricant to all clients
• Cervical screening (smear)
• Natural Family Planning (by appointment only)
• Evening clinics
• Walk-in and appointment clinics

BBV Team

• On-going support to people effected and affected by HIV and Hepatitis
• Adherence clinics
• Follow-up patient blood clinics
• Outreach BBV screening
• Screening for Hepatitis A,B and C
• Vaccinations for Hepatitis A and B where appropriate
• Support and referral for those diagnosed with Hepatitis B or C
• Health Promotion and Education around all Blood Borne Viruses
• Provision of free condoms and lubricant
• Referrals to other statutory and voluntary organisations
• Access to a specialist HIV pharmacist to support patients

Sexual Health Services also offer the following services. However referral from your GP or other health care professional is required before you can access these services.

• Vasectomy Services.
• Psychosexual Counselling.
